Ruger M77 Hawkeye Tactical .243 Anyone?
1 Attachment(s)
Have developed an interest in one of these in .243, since my wife doesn't handle a bolt .308's recoil without trouble. Figure this would work better...Curious if any of you have played with one.
Hogue overmolded stock, 20 inch barrel, and a new fully-adjustable trigger. Not sure if pillar bedding...doubt it. I have looked at the Remington SPS Varmint in .243, but want a shorter, handier length. |

Keep in mind... the shorter and "handier" the rifle, the more percieved recoil and shoulder bruising will occur.

No 243. My two main deer rifles are 6mm Remington & 257 Roberts.
Both older Ruger M77s. Not the Hawkeye version. |
Re: Ruger M77 Hawkeye Tactical .243 Anyone?
I have not tried the Ruger .243, but I do shoot a Browning 1885 in .243 that has to be as light. Very easy on the shoulder.
Not sure about the Hogue stock, but that is personal preference. |
